About Us:
One-third of the UK working-age population is not able to access mainstream financial services. These people find themselves excluded from affordable credit and treated poorly by mainstream financial institutions. Too few are successfully supported on the journey to financial health. Our purpose is “To improve the nation’s financial health through accessibility, affordability and community.”
We are a fast-growing social FinTech company giving not-for-profit Credit Unions in the UK access to a state-of-the-art fintech. We aim to grow a select group of Community Lenders into a network of challenger banks offering a viable alternative to high-cost lenders.
We are a small and dynamic team of 250+ people, offering you the opportunity to have an immediate impact on the business and grow with us. We have over 120,000+ customers on our platform and it’s increasing rapidly.
We grew significantly in size over the last year and the credit unions on our platform are the biggest players in the UK.
We have big ambitions and a management team to deliver it; with 100+ years’ experience in banking across Credit Suisse, UBS, NatWest, Capital One and Barclays.
The role:
Leading the Treasury and Capital Markets function for Amplifi Capital. This role is at the heart of the business, ensuring that the Group has access to capital markets funding to support the growth of its own loan book and adopting a strategic approach to managing liquidity and funding. This is a hands-on role, requiring an in depth understanding of the special purpose funding vehicle, Castor as well as the funding structure of the Credit Unions that will enable you to advise the CFO and Board on appropriate strategies to optimise the Group’s capital resources and liquidity.
The Treasury and Capital Markets Lead will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing investors, funders as well as maintaining dialogue and building new relationships within the market.
The successful candidate will be driven and focused on improving Amplifi’s approach to managing liquidity and funding, to support the delivery of the Group’s strategic growth objectives. A curiosity to learn and understand the importance of this role in the context of the wider operations of the business is also essential. Previous experience of working in a similar role within a Financial Services organisation would be desirable.
