Video Marketing Specialist

The Video Marketing Specialist works within the Marketing department, partnering with Sales and Operations to create compelling visual assets to be leveraged in digital environments (website, social media, etc.).

This position is based in Chicago, IL; qualified applicants must reside a commutable distance to our office in the Logan Square neighborhood at the time of application. Employee must be able to work onsite 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with management to develop video brand strategies for the company and campaigns for individual products
• Identify products and campaigns that need video content; content ideation 
• Research and gather feedback and data to improve branding
• Uphold brand standards across all created content
• Video Production: oversee the entire video production process, including filming, lighting, sound recording, and directing talent (if applicable). Ensure the use of appropriate equipment and techniques to achieve desired visual and audio quality
• Video Editing: utilize video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Davinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro) to assemble footage, add effects, transitions, animations and graphics to create a visually appealing final product
• Drive the development of compelling, story-driven video assets, teaming up with the marketing team to create content, address notes, meet deadlines and exceed expectations

• Able to work in our Chicago office (Logan Square), must reside in Chicago at time of application
• 3+ year(s) of experience working in marketing preferred, or within the mortgage industry or real estate
• Demonstrable skill in video production and editing
• Ability to proofread, edit, and write content according to the APA style guide
• Graphic Design experience preferred
• Photography experience preferred

Technology Requirements:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite products (specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• Proficiency with Video and Photography equipment and production ( camera, lighting, sound recording)
• Proficiency with Video editing software (Adobe, FinalCut Pro, Premier Pro, and others)

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree: concentration in marketing, advertising, communications, and video production and editing preferred
