Role Overview:

We are seeking an Events Marketing Manager to deliver the global events strategy and manage a wide range of events including hosted in-person events, conference sponsorships, and virtual events. The role will be instrumental in positioning the business at events that align with go to market strategies and goals for the year. This role is a 9-month fixed term contract covering maternity leave.

 

This role is balanced working model between home and in our London (UK) with an excellent and a wide variety of services and transport links situated nearby.

 

Key Objectives:

As an Events Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of events promoting brand awareness, supporting sales with lead generation at events, and aligning with product teams to showcase new enchantments globally. This role works collaboratively with many different teams and stakeholders to achieve business goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Event management: Oversee the entire event process, from planning to execution and evaluation. This includes booking venues, logistics, AV requirements, contract negotiation, shipment of booths, promotional items and printed materials.
  • Marketing strategy: Ensure globally everyone is aligned to the events marketing strategy and processes. Present the strategy at monthly event review meetings to ensure all stakeholders are on board.
  • Lead Generation: Work closely with global sales teams on creating leads, building pipeline and ROI. Support the team by driving event registration and attendance through targeted campaigns, outreach and follow up nurture campaigns.
  • Relationship management: Manage event vendors, internal and external partners, ensuring deliverables are met according to timelines and budget. Work closely with the Partnerships Marketing Manager and Customer Marketing Manager on partner and customer events focused events.
  • Onsite leadership: Lead at hosted events, be the onsite go to person and represent the brand at third party events. 
  • Brand: Ensure brand guidelines are adhered to, and messaging is consistent across all events and relevant to the attendees and hosted and third-party events.
  • Collaboration: Work with sales, product and editorial teams for hosted and third-party events to ensure everyone is aligned and on board to achieve their targets.   
  • Performance measurement: Analyse and report on the performance of each event, using metrics such as attendance, lead generation, and ROI. Gather and incorporate feedback from attendees, stakeholders, and team members to improve future events.


What We Are Looking For:

Essential

  • At least 2 years’ experience in B2B events marketing
  • Experience of working with commercial teams and demand generation
  • Project Management and Organisation Skills - Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously meeting deadlines and while staying within budget.
  • Finance Management: Oversee the event budget forecasting, management, and allocation across the annual event calendar, ensuring all events are executed within budget.
  • Events Background: Deep understanding of different types of events and strong planning, logistics and execution knowledge.
  • Analytical and Data-Driven: Strong ability to derive actionable insights from events to inform future plans and track the success of events.
  • Strategic Thinking: Capable of developing long-term events strategies that align with business goals and market opportunities.
  • Prioritisation and Time Management: Skilled in prioritising initiatives and ensuring everything runs to schedule.
  • Project Management and Organisation Skills: Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously meeting deadlines and while staying within budget.
  • Stakeholder Management and Collaboration: Excellent collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively across departments and externally with venues and vendors.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, the ability to build relationships with venues, vendors and speakers.
  • Decision Making: Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make informed choices that drive business success.
  • Problem Solving: The ability to adapt to unplanned changes without causing disruption to the event and keeping everything on track.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced digital SaaS subscription business and/or at a start-up.
  • Previous experience working in a PE backed business
  • A degree in any discipline
  • Proven experience managing a range of corporate events.
  • Previous project management experience working simultaneously on several events.
