Working Hours
35 hours per week, 9:30am to 5:30pm but additional hours may be required. Our approach to hybrid working allows for up to 40% of time working from home and 60% working in the office. Department Description
We have a well-established global M&BD team, which supports the firm on a wide range of business development, marketing and client relationship management activities. The team is divided into a number of key areas: including practice M&BD, clients and markets covering industry M&BD, pitches and pursuits, which manage strategic global and regional pitches; , events, and digital; and campaigns and projects. There are also regional M&BD teams in the Americas, Continental Europe, Asia and South Africa.
Role Overview
The Head of M&BD for the EMEA Regulatory and Global Antitrust, Competition, and Economic Regulation (ACER) practices will serve as part of the global practice business leadership team, working closely with the Global Head of Business Development (BD) & Strategy, Deputy Practice Group Leader, ACER Practice Area Leaders, and EMEA partners to drive the regulatory practice strategy forward.
They will play a critical role in leading client development and profile raising activities, as well as supporting global and regional strategic initiatives for the practice group to ensure we:
With line management responsibility for the global M&BD team members supporting the ACER, International Trade, Government Relations & Public Affairs and Public Procurement practices; they will play a critical role in creating and fostering a supportive and productive team environment that drives forward the practice group’s priorities in London and beyond. This candidate will also work closely with senior members of our global M&BD team to ensure support of and alignment with the firm’s broader priorities

M&BD planning and budgeting
Client development
Line management responsibilities
Wider BD projects
All members of the firm participate in our Responsible Business programme requiring 25 hours annually to be spent supporting the firm’s RB projects.
Specific duties or responsibilities may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changes in personnel and management structure, staff location and services.
