Gordon Brothers is looking for a Senior Manager, EMEA Marketing who will be responsible for driving the company’s marketing strategy in EMEA and executing a wide range of integrated marketing programs to enhance the Gordon Brothers brand within the marketplace across EMEA and drive profitable growth. This role reports directly to the Senior Director, Head of Marketing & Communications with a dotted line to the Head of EMEA and is based in our London office.

The Senior Manager, EMEA Marketing will have oversight for all marketing initiatives in EMEA, including content development, PR, brand development and promotion, integrated marketing campaigns, advertising, and conference and event planning. This role will collaborate closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications and business leaders in the region to set business specific marketing strategies, budgets, sponsorships and event, campaign plans and measurement metrics and manage the delivery of all marketing efforts to support these marketing plans. This position requires a candidate with a blend of strategy, creative and analytic expertise as well as a hands-on approach.

The Senior Manager, EMEA Marketing will also manage external marketing agencies in the region to provide direction and ensure quality control. This role will work closely with the Head of Marketing & Communications and the broader corporate marketing team to leverage global tools and resources and ensure all European marketing initiatives are consistent with the brand and messaging of Gordon Brothers globally.

Responsibilities

  • Increase Gordon Brothers’ market penetration in EMEA by developing and driving marketing strategy to support business development efforts.
    • Partner with business leaders, the Head of Marketing & Communications and the marketing team to develop and execute marketing plans that enhance the Gordon Brothers brand within the marketplace across EMEA and drive profitable growth while ensuring cohesive messaging and consistent best practices, including supporting the launch of the business into new territories.
    • Work with the Head of Marketing & Communications to drive the shift from reactive to a proactive PR program that enhances the perception of Gordon Brothers in the marketplace and increases brand awareness.
    • Establish engagement programs across email and social platforms to increase brand awareness for Gordon Brothers and our services, elevate the profile of our experts and engage our clients and partners.
  • Develop and execute deal marketing campaigns, including PR, print and online advertising, email, social media and website updates for online auctions and private treaty sales.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand presentation requirements and objectives to create and maintain core pitch decks for the EMEA businesses.
  • Collect, update and maintain library of core pitch decks and case study slides highlighting our past work with clients
  • Manage the day-to-day planning and execution of corporate client facing events, industry conferences, and trade shows, including pre- and post-event communications and attendee management
    • Work alongside the marketing team to design, document, and execute marketing programs for events and ensure event display accurately represents the Gordon Brothers brand
    • Manage the process of working with the business to create invitee lists and manage RSVP tracking.
    • Organize planning meetings/check-ins with stakeholders throughout the planning process, and a recap/next steps/reporting after the event.
    • Manage budget for corporate events and sponsorships
    • Manage the EMEA events calendar.
    • Research and communicate professional and industry events to the business, ensuring we have adequate presence and representation.
    • Build and maintain relationships with professional and trade associations.
    • Oversee industry sponsorships, identifying advertising opportunities that maximize brand awareness and ROI with our core audiences and executing on annual plan for each sponsorship
  • Coordinate, draft, edit and drive effective thought leadership and content across multiple formats such as written, visual, digital and video that adhere to brand guidelines, including:
    • Press releases
    • Print and digital advertising
    • Marketing collateral (brochures, one pagers)
    • Email, direct mail and newsletters
    • Social media
    • Speaking engagements and byline articles
  • Manage the EMEA corporate marketing budget and evaluating ROI, generating metrics to assess and report on the impact of the marketing efforts in the region.
    • Assist business in annual budgeting process for business line specific budgets as it relates to business specific marketing efforts
  • Closely manage and engage with third-party providers and agencies, to ensure it is relevant and representative of the brand.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Chartered Institute of Marketing diploma.
  • 10 or more years of business-to-business (B2B) marketing/communications experience, preferably within a financial/professional services sector.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
  • Experience in dealing with senior stakeholders and influencing and engaging effectively.
  • Proven record of successful development and execution of marketing plans in the EMEA region with a focus on the UK, Spain, Germany, Netherlands and UAE.

  • Strong technical proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, and Word), experience in utilizing multi-media design tools and leveraging the latest social media and communication platforms.
  • European language skills a plus, but not a necessity.
